WALKDONTRUN is a free, one-day public art celebration that will transform a 3-kilometer stretch of the city, from Pioneer Square through downtown to Belltown, into a vibrant corridor of music, movement, visual art, and community participation. You’ll see experimental dance, collaborative painting, immersive storytelling, punk shows, textile art, surreal sculpture, marching bands, participatory stop-motion animation, and motivational vending machines.

At any turn, you might find Tammie Dupuis’ oversized beaded sculptures that explore Indigenous visibility and layered identity; dance artist Giordana Falzone’s surreal, slow-moving choreography inviting passersby into a dream-state awareness of public space; Heap, a whimsical bicycle-based dance performance that celebrates abundance while critiquing overconsumption; The Fabulous Downey Brothers’ chaotic synth-punk theatrics and Chimurenga Renaissance’s live fusion of mbira music, hip hop, and Afrofuturist soundscapes; or a textile/fashion/dance performance with Wiggle Room.
