Noisy Waters Mural Festival

Muralists, both local and from across the country, paint murals in real-time and then attendees vote on their favorites! Winners receive a public building space to make scalable art. The festival is rounded out with a makers market, live music, beer garden, yoga, an upcycled fashion show, mural tours, and kids activities. The festival, which takes its name from the Lhaq’temish (Lummi) word Xwot’qom, which translates to “noisy water,” promotes and showcases indigenous muralists from the Whatcom area and beyond.
