Initially regarded as art world outsiders, founders Jake Prendez and Judy Avitia-Gonzalez turned a humble space into an award-winning public art gallery rooted in Chicana/o art traditions. During this Curated Conversation with Jake and Judy, learn about how the Nepantla Cultural Art Gallery uplifts the Latinx community, artists, and anyone seeking a place of belonging and cultural expression while delving into the question, “What is Chicana/o art, and does it matter?”
