Join us for an afternoon of clay chaos, community, and friendly competition at Ilwaco Artworks’ first-ever Clay Olympics!
This open house event invites the public to come watch ceramic artists compete in a series of pottery challenges throughout the day while enjoying an open studio atmosphere, community potluck, raffle prizes, and hands-on clay activities.
Clay Challenge Schedule:
1:30 p.m. – Blindfolded Throwing Challenge
2:30 p.m. – Tallest Cylinder Challenge
3:30 p.m. – Two-Person Throw Down
4:30 p.m. – Freestyle Vase Competition
5:30 p.m. – Raffle
Throughout the Day:
• Clay tile decorating ($5 includes firing + glazing)
• Community potluck in the gallery
• Open studio atmosphere and live demonstrations
• Spectators welcome!
Raffle tickets available for $10 each.
