"Down Way" by Oleg Bogaev is a dark comedy from the Modern cannon: At times it is deeply philosophical- at other times totally absurd. It is as much a criticism of our modern humanity as it is a parody. The action takes place on an abandoned highway at night. Various colorful characters in turn encounter a desperate figure lying in the road. Each set of characters stops their vehicle to engage this mysterious figure, and must decide how to deal with this most extreme circumstance, with each other, and with themselves. Through these interactions, the human condition in all of its absurdity, grace, and folly is exposed. Directed by Tyler Polumsky. Presented In Russian with English Subtitles. Recommended age is 18+ (use of profanity).
