The 21st Tasveer Film Festival and Market is the world's only Oscar qualifying South Asian film festival, hosted by Tasveer, a Seattle nonprofit that has spent over two decades amplifying South Asian voices through film, art, and storytelling. Since 2002, Tasveer has built a stage for stories on race, gender, caste, class, religion, and sexuality that do not always find a platform.
In 2025, Tasveer acquired Ark lodge Cinema in Columbia city which transitioned into Tasveer Film Center in Seattle screening global cinema seven days a week.
Tasveer Film Festival & market takes place for six days each October, the festival brings bold cinema from across South Asia and its diaspora to Seattle. Here is what that actually looks like inside the room.
