Since 2018, BonsaiFEST! has become Pacific Bonsai Museum’s largest annual event, drawing 6,000+ visitors from across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Held annually on the second weekend in May — always World Bonsai Day and Mother’s Day weekend — BonsaiFEST! is an ideal destination for families looking to celebrate the occasion surrounded by living art. With the PSBA Spring Show, Edd Kuehn’s mame display, and the museum’s own collection all on view together, the grounds will feature approximately 150 bonsai over the course of the weekend. Visitors may also be treated to bonsai in seasonal bloom — including wisteria, azalea, and others — depending on nature’s timing.
Set on the museum’s expansive forested grounds, BonsaiFEST! offers two days of free outdoor programming — demonstrations, vendors, food, and hands-on activities for all ages.
